Diane Morrisette's "to-do list" says a lot. Working as director of social services at The Manor at Seneca Hill in Oswego County can be found somewhere at the top of that list.

"It is rewarding to become involved with the residents and assuring they have good quality of life," Morrisette said. "It's fun to see their families realize they are doing well."

"Diane is an instrumental part of our Manor healthcare team," Judy Weissflog of Oswego Health said. "She is dependable, caring, sincere and extremely knowledgeable of the services available to the residents of Oswego County and beyond."

While advocating for patients' rights day in and day out, she is also visible at the many fun activities and events held for the residents throughout the year. "All of the staff that work in this environment become close to the residents and their families. We become like family and that makes it hard when we lose someone," Morrisette said.

Morrisette facilitates the Alzheimer's and multiple sclerosis support groups. "It's wonderful for people to get together to talk about their problems and problem solving with people who understand," Morrisette said.

Maureen Annal, vice president and chief operating officer at the Manor, said Morrisette always puts others first. "Diana always makes time to respond to resident and family inquiries, or just simply to sit and listen," Annal said.

Morrisette said her husband, her family, and her faith are priorities in her life. She is a member and organ player for Grace Lutheran Church, an active member of Oswego Children's Theater, and is affiliated with the Oswego County Health Network and Central New York Social Work Directors Organization. "I love all kinds of music. I try to incorporate it into my work and to use it as an outlet at home," Morrisette said.
